Matt began his journey to learn Spanish through a desire to meet people, learn about other cultures, and build community. Those same values are seen in his classroom, as he hopes to be a bridge for students to connect with native Spanish speakers.  A recent assignment challenged students to invest in a creative endeavor. Matt led by example by authoring and illustrating this book, envisioned as the first in a series. His adventures with friends and loved ones have inspired this book and will continue to inspire his work.
